SQMonte Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 http://www.distinctivefabric.com/ Go to the site above and register and you'll instantly be able to order 5 free 5" x 3.5" swatches of whatever fabric(s) you choose. No catch to it, just sign up and order your samples. This place is based out of LA so us Cali folks should get our samples pretty quick. I was looking for some suede online and stumbled upon this site and I was about to order some swatches for $1.00ea but then I noticed that it was free to members of the site so I signed up and then realized that I got 5 free swatches so I picked out the one's I wanted to check out, placed my order and now I play the waiting game. No costs at all to me, the swatches are free as is the shipping, which is USPS Priority, 2-7 business days. Being that I just live a few hours away, i'm thinking I should be closer to the 2 day time frame than the 7. I'll post back once I get my samples. Just thought I'd share this with you guys in case you're looking for some fabric to use for your build. **Edit** I just read some of the fine print and found out that not only do you get 5 free swatches off top, you get 5 more free swatches each time you place an order! SQMonte Posted July 26, 2009 Author Report Posted July 26, 2009 There suede is some nice stuff too, Im thinking about redoing a few inserts on my doors with their $13 or $14 suede.Thank you soooo much for confirming that for me, not knowing the quality of their product is why I ordered the swatches. I remembered seeing some suede on installer.com but they want like $45 for a yard of it! I seen the suede on df.com and the price was soooo much more reasonable but that automatically made me think it's of low quality so I decided to take advantage of the free samples so I could judge. It's nice to know that somebody can vouch for their product though. Their prices seem pretty damn reasonable too. Let me know if you find something that works.
