Id think that it would be limiting your amps ability to produce power but that is about all the load that 4 guage can support you deffinatly should upgrade to 1/0g wire with say a 200-300 amp fuse

so what about the 80 amp fuse?

Current Setup:

1170w : 14,4v = 81,25 A -> 6 awg / 80 amps

New Setup:

1470w : 14,4v = 102 A -> 4 awg / 125 amps

06 Silverado factory oem alternator produces 120 or 145 amps depending on model.

IMO looks like you can pull it off with 4 awg and a 125 Amps fuse but ... bigger is better.
