Sqaure Port Design

hi there i been using carstereo to calculate a square port and i just wanted to know if i have done it right.

The box measurements came to 6.14cft

Height:15"

Width: 35"

Depth: 25"

Square port measurements using http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31

I just wanted to know if the sqaure port depth width and length are correct for the box

and also including the port what does my cft come to

well u need between 74 and 98 sq inches of port for that box.... u have 25

not good

try it again with a bigger port

Hi if you dont mind could you tell me how you worked out the sq inches of port so that i can work it out myself

12-16sqin of port per cuft of volume for slot and square ports

8-14sqin is great for aeros

so 6.14cuft*12sqin/cuft = 74sqin of port to be tuned to 35hz

i wanted to know how you would work out the sq inches of port i have as the previous poster worked out 25 sq inches of port what was the fourmla to work it out

Edit : found out how to work it out its just height X width

so Length X Width

so 5in X 5in = 25sqin

ud need 5in X 15in = 75sqin minimum
