BHSskaterBHS Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 I just purchased a 2002 Ford Explorer today. Facts: 2002 Ford Explorer. 117k miles. v6. 4.0liter. Veryyyy clean. $6,500 out the door. I'm very pleased with what me and my parents got the price down to. I'm a little concerned with the transmission problems they are known to have which leads me to my first question. Has anyone else on here had transmission problems with the explorer? Second of all, does anyone have any tips on running a run of 4g through the firewall from previous experience? Jville140db Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 My friend has one no probs with the tranny so far the only thing, I will tell you is don't modify the subdash a fire will ensue. Anyway should be a grommet on the driver side upper right looking under the hood next to the break booster. Use something like a blunt coat hanger, that should work. If you can get it a fiberglass fish rod that works the best.
