One of them makes a funny noise, and the suspension is stupid stiff. SO! I am looking to replace them, without having to build a new box if possible. the box is a dual-chamber round ported deal, around 1-1.2 cubes with the new ports (was 3" but changed to 4" and never rechecked the displacement; with 3" ports it was 1.3 or 1.5, can't recall) tuned to 33Hz. I would prefer to upgrade in such a manner that I can run my amp at 1 ohm, meaning a claimed 1200 watts RMS between the two. I would like a sub rated a little higher just for the safety cushion but that isn't important. Here is what I have found thus far: Pioneer Premier, rated 800wrms http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9235_P...TS-W2501D4.html Alpine R-10, rated 500wrms, but I have been told they can handle up to 750 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_4045_A...D+-TYPE+R-.html I am open to other suggestions, however, I would prefer to spend less than $250 for the pair, $300 with shipping, as I am on a super-tight budget. I would like to know if anyone has any experience with these subs and/or any others in the similar price range that they could recommend. Thanks in advance for the help. Edit: Actually maybe not the specs say 1.5 ported, dont know how they would do in a slightly smaller box than that.
