Jville140db
I was thinking of building a vented box with a port plug so i could seal it for daily use and vent it for bass race. I also thought it would be cool if the port plug was motorized on linear actuators with a 45 degree wedge facing the port face after it was extended out to let the port function at the push of a button so to speak anybody else done anykind of port plug and maybe got pics just curious of what i could do Quote Car is 2010 Scion Tc Currently in car Deck- Sony XAV-60 in-dash mobile video system Speakers- Rockford Punch 6.5in comps in the front and coax in the rear Subs- 2 Gen 3 Rockford P3 12's dual 4 ohm Amps- Rockford P1000-1bd and P400-4 Alpine Mrp-f300 is in for P400-4 which is out to service Wiring- all rockford nuff said Enclosure- Dual 12in custom box by SRQ Battery- Optima Yellow top with big 3 done Sound Damping- All Dynamat products 1-2 layers throughout with liner on top Link to my build log- http://down4sound.co...=newpost&t=5275 Link to my youtube- http://www.youtube.c...ser/Jville140db MECP Advanced CEA # 110531 BassBox 6 Pro for Box Building/Re audio box calculator If you can hear the passenger it aint loud enough!!!!!!! zfrerichs
ive seen guys stuff half of thier ports or daily not making it sealed tho like 4 areos for comp and 2 for daily i dont know about switching from sealed to ported tho Quote Roseville, CA
Jville140db
i don't want to port daily because the subs i will be using will probably be slightly overpowered by the amp and sealed will help them cope with the extra power Quote Car is 2010 Scion Tc Currently in car Deck- Sony XAV-60 in-dash mobile video system Speakers- Rockford Punch 6.5in comps in the front and coax in the rear Subs- 2 Gen 3 Rockford P3 12's dual 4 ohm Amps- Rockford P1000-1bd and P400-4 Alpine Mrp-f300 is in for P400-4 which is out to service Wiring- all rockford nuff said Enclosure- Dual 12in custom box by SRQ Battery- Optima Yellow top with big 3 done Sound Damping- All Dynamat products 1-2 layers throughout with liner on top Link to my build log- http://down4sound.co...=newpost&t=5275 Link to my youtube- http://www.youtube.c...ser/Jville140db MECP Advanced CEA # 110531 BassBox 6 Pro for Box Building/Re audio box calculator If you can hear the passenger it aint loud enough!!!!!!! Motasolo
http://image.customclassictrucks.com/f/101...cutout_kits.jpg Made me think of the exhaust thing when you mentioned the automated part. Maybe you could find a kit like this and modify it for a larger diameter and such, sweet idea man. kentb
i don't want to port daily because the subs i will be using will probably be slightly overpowered by the amp and sealed will help them cope with the extra power or just go with a port daily and be careful on the bass knob Quote New System 2 10" Fi SSD, Sundown 1500d Build I build and design enclosures(cheap price), PM ME Kicker L7 Navigator(plexiglass, fiberglass, aeroport) Build BTL 18" Escalade(plexiglass, battery tray) Build http://www.kentbaudio.com Old System
Jville140db
or just go with a port daily and be careful on the bass knob not really concerned with that but i listen to a lot of rock and alt and that sounds better sealed but i was also thinkin that when i listen to rap and hip hop it might be cool to switch the box from sealed to vented at the touch of a button ya know it would probably be the first of it's kind nobody go stealing my idea by the way i'll hunt ya down and do nothing lol take that Quote Car is 2010 Scion Tc Currently in car Deck- Sony XAV-60 in-dash mobile video system Speakers- Rockford Punch 6.5in comps in the front and coax in the rear Subs- 2 Gen 3 Rockford P3 12's dual 4 ohm Amps- Rockford P1000-1bd and P400-4 Alpine Mrp-f300 is in for P400-4 which is out to service Wiring- all rockford nuff said Enclosure- Dual 12in custom box by SRQ Battery- Optima Yellow top with big 3 done Sound Damping- All Dynamat products 1-2 layers throughout with liner on top Link to my build log- http://down4sound.co...=newpost&t=5275 Link to my youtube- http://www.youtube.c...ser/Jville140db MECP Advanced CEA # 110531 BassBox 6 Pro for Box Building/Re audio box calculator If you can hear the passenger it aint loud enough!!!!!!!
