cvxsmitty58
So the other day i put a run of 0/1 from my negative terminal up front, to the factory ground location. (basically the big 1 i guess) But ever since then it seems like i have more engine noise......The only thing i can think of thats causing this is a power wire (for my line driver) that lays directly next to my factory amp. Could the possibly higher voltage have been enough to cause an increase in the noise?
lanman31337
Where is your line driver grounded to? 2 - Audiopipe AP30001Ds 1 - Lanzar Opti Scion 600.4 4 - Lanzar Optidrive 1232D's 1 - Lanzar Opti 5.1 1 - Lanzar Opti 6.1 1 - Lanzar Opti 6C midbass 1 - Alphasonic PCT6551 1 - Lanzar VX830 1 - JBL 22 band EQ 1 - Lanzar SDBT75NU 1 - AudioControl Epic160
cvxsmitty58
it uses the power and ground from a rear power outlet......i just clipped the wires and butt spliced the line driver on.....btw the subs are fine.....its coming out of the components
lanman31337
The frequency that ground loops play is way above the subwoofer frequency. That's why you'll only hear it in your high/mid amp. Try changing your connections to a better location, especially the ground. 2 - Audiopipe AP30001Ds 1 - Lanzar Opti Scion 600.4 4 - Lanzar Optidrive 1232D's 1 - Lanzar Opti 5.1 1 - Lanzar Opti 6.1 1 - Lanzar Opti 6C midbass 1 - Alphasonic PCT6551 1 - Lanzar VX830 1 - JBL 22 band EQ 1 - Lanzar SDBT75NU 1 - AudioControl Epic160
