ground/ engine noise

Recommended Posts

So the other day i put a run of 0/1 from my negative terminal up front, to the factory ground location. (basically the big 1 i guess) But ever since then it seems like i have more engine noise......The only thing i can think of thats causing this is a power wire (for my line driver) that lays directly next to my factory amp. Could the possibly higher voltage have been enough to cause an increase in the noise?

Where is your line driver grounded to?

The frequency that ground loops play is way above the subwoofer frequency. That's why you'll only hear it in your high/mid amp. Try changing your connections to a better location, especially the ground.
