kandiman71874 Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 (edited) Usually a case of over charged, or its low or under charged. cooling fan not working right or at all can do it too. Can also be caused by a restriction causing the high side pressure to jump way the hell up and activate the high pressure cut off switch. Can happen on the low side too with a restriction causing the low side to be sucked abnormally low by the compressors natural actions, but a restriction doing that on the low side is extremely rare. Usually if you have a issue with low side pressure, your high side is way to high as well if its due to a restriction. On most cases, both low and high presures will be higher than they should be will be higher In a normal condition if your lowside is low as hell, so is your high side when a restriction isnt present. arthurk Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 Yeah my cars air was blowin warm and I bought the can with the gauge and hooked it up and at first it shows it in the "Needs charge" area but then after I press the button on the can down hard it shot up to the "red danger zone" so I unhooked it being afraid it would explode. The air seemed just a little cooler but not cold at all. Do you guys think I should try it again or what. I am not good at shit like this at all and don't want to explode the can. I am not good at shit like this at all and don't want to explode the can. mine did that too but after a while the ac system pump kicked on and it just SUCKED that can right up now im full.. i had to use 2 cans though... and kran what kind of car is it? under the hood it should say what type of coolant to use.. if not google what car and model year and it will tell you no doubt..
