savoyrocks Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 well the odd thing is its on and it wont go off at all without being reset it doesn't flicker or on for few min and then off its weird why after putting in an in dash would that come on i've had all sorts of weird krap happen to me with the new lan and data bus systems. if i had to guess i'd say the current draw between the new head unit plus the interface itself is more than the factory radio and the computer senses this. you would think that with the price you pay for these krappy interfaces you would get a reliable piece of equipment. i guess it's because the technology is changing at such a rapid rate it's hard for them to keep up. i know this doesn't help you with your customer but i feel your pain bro. if you haven't tried it yet, disconnect the battery for a while. it probably won't help, but it's worth a try. two things i don't remember to do until after the install and then it's too late are....1. synch the interface by turning the key on for 30 seconds and then turning it off. some interfaces have other ways of synching. they don't specify whether they want you to synch the interface with it plugged into the radio or not plugged into the radio. this is probably because they know their interfaces are unreliable and if something goes wrong they can say well you must have not synched it or something like that. and 2. disconnect the battery before doing anything and that includes removing the factory radio and reconnecting the batt. after all connections have been made. i doubt this would make any difference but again, it's worth a try. good luck man.
Jville140db Posted August 7, 2009 Author Report Posted August 7, 2009 like i said though it was not on when it left it came on a few days later however i didn't know about the whole sync thing good info on that thanks any one got any ideas Car is 2010 Scion Tc Currently in car Deck- Sony XAV-60 in-dash mobile video system Speakers- Rockford Punch 6.5in comps in the front and coax in the rear Subs- 2 Gen 3 Rockford P3 12's dual 4 ohm Amps- Rockford P1000-1bd and P400-4 Alpine Mrp-f300 is in for P400-4 which is out to service Wiring- all rockford nuff said Enclosure- Dual 12in custom box by SRQ Battery- Optima Yellow top with big 3 done Sound Damping- All Dynamat products 1-2 layers throughout with liner on top Link to my build log- http://down4sound.co...=newpost&t=5275 Link to my youtube- http://www.youtube.c...ser/Jville140db MECP Advanced CEA # 110531 BassBox 6 Pro for Box Building/Re audio box calculator If you can hear the passenger it aint loud enough!!!!!!!
