Kicker Guy
So if i redo the front of the wall and retune it, would it be better if the port was on the top instead of the bottom? No port on bottom is better imo, every wall I have done the numbers were better on bottom. As for pics of mine, I don't have any on this computer but its fairly simple. 2 subs on top 2 on bottom with port on driver side. mazdaspl
Is it best to have the port on the drivers side to get high #'s. I have noticed on my current setup that i get higher #'s when the mic is placed on the drivers side.
Boon
Yep the traditional 'numbers' setup is subs passenger side port drivers side. You can tune fairly high and still hammer the lows with a wall - because you're reducing the cabin volume so much the subs (and port) will load off the air in the cabin which will help control excursion and let them play below free-space tuning. Remember that you can usually play like 5hz under 'tuning' once you put the enclosure in the car, even more so with walls because of what I outlined above... same goes for small hatches with lots of cone area. I would tune in the high 30's if you want daily performance and better scores on the meter. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
