so i'm following a bandwagon because I went out on a limb and tried some dc's? was there a kicker bandwagon too? did I miss the jbl one or was I just in time?

it may be whats hot right now, but you cant just say "these 12 brands are all anyone is running because they think its cool', or I'm going to come back and say "everyone is driving a gm, chrysler group, or japanese car these days"

Not too long ago the BTL was one of the biggest forum boners i've seen. It seemed like everyone HAD to have one.

I'm not too quick to jump on the bandwagon, but if the product stands up to the test of time and is STILL crazy popular, only then do I feel the product may be a "boner" for a reason.

DC seems to be the latest boner, but I'm sure once the SMD woofer is out there will be increased attention on Ascendant. It's just how things go :)

ok first dont get pissy, nobody said you were on a bandwagon. you said that about yourself. go back and read, then reread until you see the part that says the are all great brands, and kudos to you for trying dc. i already there great subs and i would like to try a set. but its because i want to, nit because everyone else swears by them. are you a fan boy that dogs every other sub? and only certain subs were listed because im not going to type out every sub there is

Thats the difference right there.. you went out on a limb and tried them for yourself. You didnt post a What sub should i get and everyone came in and says "x" sub is the shit, then you went and bought it.

I might be wrong but i think thats what he meant. If you have the need for a piece of equipment, im sure you do your reaserch and purchase whats going to work best for you, not just cuz Joe Nobody said "brand X" is that shitz..

i will go ahead and say sub a is better than sub b straight up because i know it is and i have expereince with both subs

that may be true in your case, but what if someone wants a different sound then what you want? then sub a might not be better then sub b. it's all in what a person is looking for.

Not only all of what the OP said, but go to a manufacturer forum and try to talk about good products(Other then there's!). I was on a forum that was from a said manufacturer and wow all I got was grief and all the greif was supported by people who worked/owned the said manufacturer! Talk about biased but I guess I can expect that.

This thread is :bsflag: But only because it's so true. There are quite a few fanboys out there that will say that a certain sub is better than another with out any valid comparrison. I have ran all the subs mentioned as forum bonners and I happen to still like all the companies except one. Some of you know what company that is and I'm not going to say. I have reasons for my dislike and what not. I will reccomend a sub that I run or have run to someone that is looking for something particular cause more than likely if I'm reccomending it to them I had the results they are looking for.
