jesterjames
cutting threw all the bs because in the end for safety it will be fused... i cant find a ANL fuse in town, it will be the end of the week before it is here, the wire between the 2 batterys is fused and the amp has 2 80 amp fuses on it. its a ~3 foot run from the back battery to the amp, does it absolutely have to be fused or can i play it until my fuse arrives? Boon
Ask yourself, am I happy with the odds of this shorting out? Remember that if it does, it'll be like having a rogue arc welder bouncing around in your trunk. I run 4 2ft runs of 0ga unfused from my rear batteries to the amp because I'm happy with the odds. 10.x volts fo' life!
heyitsmekyle15
I have seen first hand what not fusing a wire can lead to. Its a small chance, but youll shoot yourself in the foot when your car is burnt to a crisp. Be patient, wait till you get a fuse. 4 15" dc audio level 4 xl's in 4th order blow through 2 IA 40.1's at 2 ohms strapped with 3.9 rise...currently own 4 IA 40.1s..... 1 06zx3504 running Kicker QS 6 1/2's 1 iraggi 180 amp alt 1 optima d34 yellow top under hood 5 deka intimidators HU - Eclipse AVX5000 W/ DCU-105 Termlabed 157db at 38hz 6000 watts
