tristan560
A buddy of mine has 8 Re 8's in a 7 cube box tuned to 35hz. At normal volume the subs seem to all move together but when you crank it a bit they all do their own thing. Theyre single 4 ohms. Each pair is wired up to 8ohms, then down to 4 and down to 2ohms at the amp. Any ideas why they would do this? Cr@sh
Is this visually, or on video? becuase on video alot of cameras cant pick up the subs moving properly, howver if it's visually I would check to make sure there wired in proper phase. Cr@sh
Also in series parralel's that I have done in the past the woofers closest to the amp would see to move out of phase with the others and it may be that they get a little more, also is it a single chamber or all chambered off? tristan560
Definitely visual. Theyre way off but only at higher volumes. all wired to one amp. creyc
Have him take the wires off the amp and briefly touch the + and - to a 9v battery. ALL the cones should move either up or down, together. If they do, and it still looks weird, it's just an optical illusion. tristan560
Could the box be too big and theres no cone control at higher spl levels.
