Rogers Posted August 11, 2009 Report Share Posted August 11, 2009 well i should have made one of these a LONG time ago... but its kinda difficult to post pics with dialup... so most of my pics have been taken via cellphone(sorry) but none the less you will get the point!.... any ways... my father just gave me this car out of the blue and for no reason... i guess he knew i needed a project... so i started buying audio equipment... now ive had many many systems in the past... 1 or 2 12's or a 15 here and there and had some pretty loud setups but on this one i wanted to go BIG... i though about doing a wall but the 6 foot guy needs his leg room... anyways im working on my second setup in this vehicle... the first one was basically just a quick clean install... 4 10" Alpine type s's and an Alpine mrp-m1000,i designed my own enclosure and built it... anyways i just wasnt satisfied, it just wasnt loud enough... so i sold everything and started from scratch... i even sold the headunit and wiring.... the ONLY thing i kept were a pair of alpine type s 6x8's.... anyways here we are... ive got new equipment.... here is what i have 4 12" alpine type r's Audioque 2200d pioneer deh-5900ib monster 1/0 and some short strands of kicker hyperflex for my grounds stinger 8awg for speakerwire use alpine type s 6x8's stinger bass blockers i still need/want to get battery(s), an epicenter, some 6x9's instead of the by 8's, some 4x6's for the front, and a small 4 channel amp for highs and eventually a ho alt those listed are pretty much my main components... ive already got a jump start on the build, ive been working on it a little at a time over the past couple weeks...so ill jump you up to speed here... http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/79921-rogers-700-dream-car-update-page-17-a-wall/?p=2335774 93 Saturn SC2My system4 SA-15's Walled 2 Cerwin-Vega S2000's 3 Kinetik Hc2000's Dual 200amp alts. you guys done with the peepee touching contest or do I need to end it? Rogers Posted August 11, 2009 Author Report Share Posted August 11, 2009 onto the amp... made a mdf plate for the amp and digital fuseblock to sit on hooked the amp up to just the stock battery to test it... and damn its a beast! and now... where im at now... tonight i started a false "floor" on top of where my back seats were this will be the amp/battery/epicenter rack... i havent completly decided how i want it to look so im just going to build it as i see fit at the time... im just kinda going with the flow... the enclosure is actually turned with the port facing the passenger side... i had to do this because of how large the box was, there wasnt enough airspace for the sound to get around the enclosure and out of the trunk and into the cabin of the car... off topic but... here is the link to the photobucket album from the first build... its got some cool vids too... http://s458.photobucket.com/albums/qq309/d...Lumina%20Build/ ill be working on the amp rack more tomorrow so stay tuned... i tried to put this all on one post but apparently i had too many pics... Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.
