However i just read something about if you are useing a lot of power you should make your box smaller. Well ill be running 3k rms on my level 5 and i was wanting to go 8 cubes tuned to 34hz with 160 sq in of port. Is that too much box space or port space? EricR Posted August 13, 2009 Report Share Posted August 13, 2009 yea you don't need 8 cubes. probably 7 would be plenty with 3k watts. i would email rusty and he would be able to tell you himself. i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
