Guest Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Now i know that Flared ports are better than regular circle ports. but 2 6" flared ports on partsexpress is $80, which i dont really have that kind of money atm. PVC is 10x cheaper and i was wondering if i could get away with it. its a 5cuft box. im stuck on 2 6" ports because im planning on taking out my rear speakers and putting the ports through the stock speaker holes.

00_XJ Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 i use em and they work jus fine.. X2, my current box has 3 inch PVC for the port and I haven't noticed anything bad. I've heard some people say you get a whistling noise because it's not flared but I can't hear anything different then when I had a slot port. 2000 Jeep Cherokee -DC Audio -Memphis -Audioque -SecondSkin -Pioneer -KnuKonceptz
