I have heard different things about placement of the subwoofer. I heard that when having the sub in the trunk, it acts almost like a port itself, making it seem louder. The way I understand is it is all about air movement. So in using that theory if you have a smaller trunk than cab, it would be louder in the trunk since there is less air to move. But I was wondering if that is even true, and would a subwoofer be louder if it is right in your back seat instead of in the trunk?

I have a Kicker Comp VR in a 1.75 cu ft vented box.

reasons why it would sound better in a trunk is because in the trunk, all mechanical noises, air ect are in the trunk, and what resinates in the car is just clean bass, since the trunk hides the mechanical sounds. There are lots of variables tho. I personally like bandpass ported thru the rear deck when it comes to trunk cars.

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
