Digital TV tuner for car

dont know which brand my friend sells but i went to buy one the other day and he wouldnt sell it to me. i asked why and he said they work fine while sitting but once you go over 10mph the signal gets weak and it craps out.

any good ones where this doesnt happen or do i have to hold out till they fix this problem, if they can

we use Exsonic and it does the same thing I've been told it's because it's a narrow band tuner and not a wide band. I guess the FCC hasn't approved the wide band ones for use in the states yet but they have them in europe and I guess it works just fine

thank you mtgrooves, and i had 1 in my car before but the fcc switched over to digital so its junk now. sometimes when im on the road i like to veiw the news or sports games. yes im capable of driving and viewing the tv without crashing

Im thinking any brand will be the same results due to the fact that the signals are not that strong. I dont think the digital signal is as strong as a regualar old style broadcast.

Only way I see getting around it is if you stepped up to one of those auto tracking dish setups for DirecTv (like used on big ass RV's).

Im basing this off of my test results with HD (high def) radio. The radio stations only broadcasted 50 miles in HD, and while I got the signals in my city, ruffly 48 miles away on 2 different stations (1 from 45 miles south of me, and the other 48 miles north of me) they both acted the same. I could pic up the stations fine in a stand still or even low speeds, but once speed increased to a little under 20 the static channel came in.
