dirtboi22 Posted August 28, 2009 Report Share Posted August 28, 2009 If you have an alternator that is crapping out on you and your car is eltronic shift, can it throw it out of wack? Because my sisters car after being driven for 3-4 hours acts like the tranny is slipping but it is inconsistant. also, it seems like it gets worse when she drivin home (after shes drove for 2-3 hours) when the headlights are on. BulletInjection Posted August 28, 2009 Report Share Posted August 28, 2009 techtronic? I guess if it is an "electronic shift" the battery going bad could cause the tranny seem bad. In new cars it is mostly controlled by computer timing so get the battery tested along with the alternator and maybe take it to the dealership or a mechanic to take a look. Did you recently have an oil change?
