multi runs of 1\0

Recommended Posts

efficiency can change with wire size and length.

you can pull more current through a shorter wire-

X amps may flow easily through one run of 1/0 that is 6 inches long

but to keep that same efficiency over a 25ft run you may need multiple runs of 1/0

helps the flow of amps goin threw wire, like tryin to empty a 5gal bucket threw a coffee straw, rather than a garden hose

more runs = less resistance = more power = louder music :hairtrick: , or atleast cleaner signal :)

i wouldn't do a run of 1/0 pos n neg front to back unless i was over the 4k mark in power, maby 3k minum, and also helps charge batteries faster to

here's a link to my system 99 toyota tacoma , 2 mtx 8000 1504's in a sealed downfire , 1000w memphis amp

I did a single run of 1/0 positive and 1/0 negative in my Son's car. Also did the big three. Hes running 1600 watts on an all stock system with no problems and no noise at all.

Im going to be pushing the 4000 watts soon so Im doing a dual run of pos and neg in my Silverado. I just took out the old 4 gauge run from my first install. That stuff looks so tiny to me now. I must be getting crazy because sometimes the 1/0 starts looking to small

I ran 1500rms off stock batt and alt with a 3 farad cap and i had BAD voltage drop.. sometimes it would get down to 10.5 volts but as of the 1/0 looking small i had it run to my amp and i thought it looked huge at first but after a while i didnt notice.. but ppl would look at it sometimes and say damn thats huge wire

Yep, whatever I run positive I run the same thing negative. If weather permits and things go well I should have it ran this weekend. I want to get my wiring up front done and get my kicks installed. Im tired of seeing the front of my truck all tore up.
