Sanitarium Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 So my old eq (Clarion eqs750) died on me last week, and my headunit just doesn't push my equipment like I would like. So I've been searching for a new one and came up with a few questions and no answers for them. My old eq had a 30 hz band as it's lowest band. Everything else I'm seeing on the market seems to boost the 50 hz band. Will an eq with a 50 hz boost a tight area around 50 hz or will it be a wider range that will also boost around 30 hz like I'm used to? I seen a couple EQ's that had a frequency response of 10hz to 15k hz, would the range of human hearing from 15k to 20k hz be missed? Other then those questions, anyone got any suggestions for a good full range eq? the only requirements i have are.. 1. Less then $100, preferablly between $50 and $75 but really budget is not set, just what I'm comfortable with. 2. At least 6v on the output with a seperate subwoofer volume (some music you want a lot of bass. but who wants to bump when you're playing country music or something similar) 3. I'm used to a 7 band so at least a 5 band. 4. Least important, red lighting. My truck has red interior lights, and red lighting on my HU. I'll neatly hide the eq in my center seat if it doesn't match, like I did my clarion.
