Mac58 Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 Ok so currently I have a single 15 T2 D4 subwoofer wired to 2 ohms on a T-15001bd amp. It puts out roughly 1400+ rms. I also have a T-4004bd amp putting out about 500+ rms. All of this is run off of a stock electrical system in a '06 civic. No major problems until I turn the volume up to about 38, which is ok because I usually have it at about 20. But at 38 the power dwindles. Currently I am upgrading my Big 3 to 0 gauge wire but in case this doesnt help, I was thinking of adding 2 kinetik batts a HC1400 to replace the stock bat under the hood and a HC1800 in the trunk and another stock alt dedicated entirely to the audio system. So I would have a charging system on my regular car and another specifically for my system putting out about 100 amps. I know I could just get a HO for my car but that will run me maybe 400+ but I have a low budget and I have found all the parts excluding batts for less than 250 for the dual alt setup. What are your opinions? There is no reason to spend $400 on one alternator, i got two of the Mechmans alts for my truck for a little more than that and one for my car for $225.
