bombout800
WAYYY too much port, much too long as well.A single 6" aero anywhere from 12-18" will do you very very nicely. That's what happens when you bottom out a 9512, by the way That picture looks great! ha ha. I don't understand. Thats less than 12 sq in of port per cubic feet. Why wouldn't an 8 be right? Or should i just finangle a vent in there? A single 6 inch aero is like 8 sq inches shy of being good. Quote 03 350Z
bombout800
What dimensions are you working with? I'll see what I can draw up. Nice to see a local running DD also. THANKS! HxWxD 15x36.5x17 I can actually go 19 wide if i need to. Does anyone know what how much displacement the 9512 is? Also, i need to know what direction i should fire the sub and port. bombout800
i thought about changing the port area to around 54 and i may try to flare both ends to have a good roll off. Quote 03 350Z
Boon
Aeroports don't require as much area as slotted or non-flared round ports 1 6" (we're talking REAL aeroports here, not some plastic tube with a roundover) will do you nicely. To the best of my understanding ( i know a good bit but im still learning) aero ports are more efficient. Because of that you need less port area. bombout800
i realize that they are more efficient but almost half the port area less... and it will still sound good and no port noise? I guess i just can't see it possible. I guess its just me being hard headed......... Quote 03 350Z

But as mentioned above I run quite a lot of power to it... Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
loburbon
this is a 350z i did for a customer with a 2512, running off a m1a@2ohms. he would do a 142@38hz legal. 3cuft is too big for a 9512. 2.5cuft is the perfect size box. it gets nice and low. I had a 2512 in a 2.75cu ft box and it did just fine. Actually think that it wouldn't have hated more. It flexed a lot on low end, but when i adjusted the subsonic a little higher it still played low and sounded really good doing it. Now im not saying that yall are wrong by any means. I currently have a kicker comp(came with the car)and built a small box with spare wood for it. Its only .77 cu ft after displacement and it jams with a horrible amp! Port is 17sq inches and it has surprised some people for how loud its got in the tiny box. Quote 03 350Z
