4 Sealed Subs In A Van Or 4 Subs In Ported Box?

Hey Guys As May Or May not Know Im An Installer From The UK(Specialising in Wiring) And IM Doing My Demo Van In 3months Thing Is The Van I Have Is Small Ish.. I Would Love To Run 4 DC Lvl 3 Subs In A Slot Port Box, But As Im Mostly Mobile I Need Space I The Back....

So The Question Is.... Will 4 15's In Separate Sealed Boxes Walled Off Sound Anywhere As Good As 4 In Slot Port Boxes.. As Ported Boxes Are Bigger I Dont Think I Have The Space.

Sealed will give you better response throughout the whole Low end... Ported would be a lot more output but usually with a semi - really steep rolloff point.

I think for More of a SQL Id go with 4 15's sealed it would also give you a lil more space to work with. Ported if youre lookin into just FUCKIN RETARDED LOUD.

My vote is for sealed.

If both are done right Ported will get hella louder, but sealed might sound a little cleaner.

Im Starting To Like The Sealed Idea As I Like SQ AS Well As SPL, Problem Is I Can Uprate My Alt Its Only 85Amp I Think, And There Is No One I Can Find Will Make Me One So I Might go With Some Kicker Lv5 15's And Run 1 JBL GTO-14001e 1400W RMS mono amplifier To 2 Kickers As I Met Someone That Did Something Like This Set Up With Some Big Caps And Said The Volt Drop Wasnt So Bad,

IMO if your going for SQ the L5's or any square subs for that matter shouldnt be on your list, also ditch the caps and get some good dry cell batteries you will be much happier.

kicker dont make level 1,2,3,4 and so on subs.

or you mean L5's?..

if your looking for DC subs hit up rusty..im sure he will give you a good deal on some woofers!

if i ditch the caps andget say like 3 dcb then i doubt my alt could charge them, but im not sure, why dont you rate the kicker subs?

i would love dc's but i thik they will need more power than i can give them due to my gay stock alt.... i have emailed rusty so if he can get me a good deal hen i will have more money for amps and try harder to find someonne to build me a high output alt, plus i love the idea of custom dust caps!!
