Passenger side only the tweeter works, but the woofer will play if I push down on the cone. Does this mean the speaker is blown or a bad connection internally. CaptainzPlanetz Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 It may be blown, same thing happened with an older JLW3 I had gave my buddy, it would only play for a bit if I pushed on the cone, then it would stop playing, I push on the cone it plays again, rinse and repeat. I would check it with a DMM to be sure. Problem was one of the coils was blown, but not completly it was just sorta hanging on. ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............ It'll play as long as im pushing on the cone and it plays fine when I do so. If it turns out to be bad/unrepairable, i suppose i'll piece together a 4" component set. The tinsel leads were broken & only made contact when I pushed on the cone.
