ok guys my bad, i never even thought about idle and engine revving, at about 2000rpm's it hits 13.7 or .8 andnever goes higher. speakers though, amp still goes into protect when volume gets up decent, even at 13.8

Are you sure you have your speakers wired to the correct ohm load for each channel? Also, make sure your gains are tuned properly as to not produce a clipped signal.

gains are def set right, ohm loads are triple checked. I figured it out though, i took out each speaker, and on one of them there was this little tinsel lead looking piece loose touching both terminals. fixed! thanks guys
