Gearstix Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Every time my dad and I start talking about stereos and such, he always brings up these Cerwin Vegas he had yeaars ago, that were liquid cooled subwoofers. He says he could stick however much power he wanted on them and they never gave up, and he wore them out, he liked em so much. Does anybody know of or have any pics of these liquid cooled CVs? 2005 Blazer Build... Mach 5 SPL-12s, Audiopipe AP3000.1D..

pervitizm Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Never heard of CW having liquid cooled subwoofers, but Bazooka did have a line up of subs and amps that where liquid cooled by a green anti-freeze liquid. Trying to find more info on that. 2007 Chevy Suburban LT1 Pioneer AVH 5700 DVD Diamond Audio D3 6 1/2 components Kicker 06ZX650.4 amp Kicker 06ZX2500.1 (x 2) DC Sound Lab Level 4 18's with Level 5 coils Autotek Mean Machine 400.1D (replaced) Soon to come: rims body kit flow master pipes Confuscious say "he who say it can't be done shouldn't be bothering man busy doing it" Now feel free to go crawl back under that rock and leave this to the professionals....
Gearstix Posted September 14, 2009 Author Report Posted September 14, 2009 You mean Fero-Fluid? I have no idea, he just said they were liquid cooled.. He used to do pyrotechnics and stage audio and stuff.. 2005 Blazer Build... Mach 5 SPL-12s, Audiopipe AP3000.1D..
Andrew2944r Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Ferro Fluid has to be what he is talking about, alot of the older subs ran it such as Orion XTR's, but it was a oil with suspended fine particles or magnatite, cobalt or iron. But an all out liquid cooled sub I have never heard of. A few older amps such as PPI used liquid cooling radiators. Team Ampere Audio
