Lowroll
So im trying to learn how to better design boxes on my own & I was wondering what vent mach was. Do you want it high or low? & is it related to port noise? Guest
too much port air velocity = port noise. thats the only correlation i know between the 2...

So would you be saying that less vent mach would be a better thing? iv been playing on WinISD & I have 2 different boxes I might build, but can only really afford one at a time. One has .16, the other has .08, in your opinion which would be a better box? aznboi3644
just change the settings to feet per second...usually i go with anything under 100 ft per sec. Depends on the design though.
Boon
Too low vent velocity indicates the vent isn't actually acting as a resonance chamber, more like just a hole in the box. 10.x volts fo' life!
