Enclosure help for Type R's

Hey guys, i have always done sealed boxes with the previous set ups i have had. After going through some of the threads and what not i started to wonder how a ported box would sound on my type r's. i have 2 12's and they are loud enough( but that is what everyone says and then you end up going bigger). but i just wanted to know what kind of design you guys would go with. cause i know most of you are more experienced so i want to hear from you. i drive a 96 buick regal custom and the trunk is pretty big. but if you guys have the same sub or whatever and you feel as if you could help i would greatly appreciate it.

That is what i have been getting from a couple of people. Would you recommend facing them toward the license plate or the cabin. My seats dont fold down.. does that change anything? and if i do have them facing the cabin should i seal the box off from the rest of the trunk?

id face them back myself, no need to face forward when it cant come through anyhow, so use the trunk lid as a loading wall subs and port back.

when you say a loading wall what do you mean... sorry im new. do you mean them facing up towards the lid with the port going out the back?

basically the bass reflects off the back of your car making it sound deeper

ok sounds good! does it matter how far away they are from the back of the car?

yup, if its to close it smothers the port

so basically just get the measurements right, tune it right, and i should be good. subs and port both facing the rear?
