changing dns isn't working for me. hell i did a remote dns lookup of the ip address and tried pinging that and it wouldn't work.

switched to static dns servers in my router. nothing.

Edit: something i just did fixed it... time to undo stuff till i figure out what changed.

my bad im supposed to say 1337

figured out it's snot my computer, it's my router :P ... that and it's interaction with the cache at the SMD server or something like that..

My computer R 1337!!!

Turns out it was the firmware for my router, was using dd-wrt. switched to openwrt and fixed it.

edit: turns out to be an MTU issue as pointed out by a guy (nick brain0 ) on irc.freenode.net #archlinux.

Yet another reason to love the power of the internet :P. easy access to smarter people then you.
