darren509
i have a lesabre i have stock alt, with yellow top under hood and kinentik hc800 in trunk i want 12s or 15s im lookin for 4000w rms
brewer_brewer
i would say 15's but at the same time, it might be more effective to do 2 12's since you could get the proper airspace for them. its usually pretty hard to make room for 2 15's with the proper space in a trunk. what are the dimensions or your trunk (height, width, depth) so we can figure up how much airspace you can get. your electrical looks decent but with 4000 rms you will want to add a couple more hc800's. how many amps is your stock alt btw? brewer_brewer
just off of some raw math you have about 11 cubic feet with those dimensions. with box, port, subs, and keeping the subs away from the walls i would say about 9 useable cubic feet. so you have enough for 2 15's and you're stock alt will be fine but you will want extra batteries for sure and should think about upgrading the alt later down the road. since Audioque is a good budget brand and you will need batteries i would say this is a good start for ideas for you: 2 15" HDC3's and a AQ 3500D for about 1200 dollars and then the rest could be put towards batteries, wires, box building. heres a link to audioque http://www.audioque.com/aq/AQ3500D.htm http://www.audioque.com/aq/HDCSeries.htm REFS http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/itrader.php?u=2026 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/44535-official-brewer-brewer-feedback/page__p__625998__hl__brewer__fromsearch__1entry625998 "you're not allowing natural selection to work, you're like the guy that invented the seatbelt"
