Hotdog
I am trying to hook my son up with some bass but this 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo has a factory amped system. I went to The Twelvevolt dot com and got the wiring information for it but it does not match. The speaker wire colors are correct but the other wires are as follows 12volt said Constant 12v+ = Orange Switched 12v+ = Yellow Ground = Black/White Illumination = Grey/Black Dimmer = Brown/White Antenna = Glass What I actually have 2 black wires 2 orange wires Purple wire White Wire Grey Wire Pink Wire So can anyone help me here? The goal it to wire in a line level out and run RCA's to another amp for some subwoofers. 2 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch XLC Rockford Fosgate P600/2 for amp (NEW) 2004 F-150 Build Log -->http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/192208-hotdogs-f-150-build-log/ 2003 Mercury Mountaineer Build Log --> http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/114380-hotdogs-2003-mountaineer-build-log-20-removed/page__gopid__1602379#entry1602379 2008 Equinox Build Log --> http://www.stevemead...g/#entry1475764
Hotdog
Can anyone help here? I think I found where the White wire is the remote wire but I am unsure on the 2 black wires unless they are both grounds. I guess I can take a picture of it (NEW) 2004 F-150 Build Log -->http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/192208-hotdogs-f-150-build-log/ 2003 Mercury Mountaineer Build Log --> http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/114380-hotdogs-2003-mountaineer-build-log-20-removed/page__gopid__1602379#entry1602379 2008 Equinox Build Log --> http://www.stevemead...g/#entry1475764
SQMonte
If you're wiring in a LOC then all you need to worry about is the speaker wire color for the rear speakers, right? That's all I did when I installed my first setup in my car w/stock head unit. I just tapped into the rear speaker wires with my LOC, which gave me my rca's, remote lead was run from the fuse box, power lead from the battery and that's it. I got it now The White wire on the radio harness is the antenna/Remote wire. Now all I have to do is replace factory speakers later on... my son should be happy with it now. Make sure you get 2ohm speakers if you're going to keep running the factory amp Alpine CDA-117...Memphis 16-X03 CDT Audio SQA-4100...SEAS Prestige H1396...Crescendo MP-6 Soundstream Rubicon 1.2500d...Digital Designs 3512f
