Mrbubbles00482
EDIT- New stuff last post Bought a bike, got it cheap, low miles with minor body damage and such. 1993 Ninja ZX6E 10k miles Needs body repairs and paint. Chain and sprockets. Mild tune up (already done) Lots of cleaning haha (guy used WD40 on the chain for lube) http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/01nocomment8so.gif Had to buy an upper fairing Gas tank Left rear tail fairing All bought used and *slightly* damaged. The pieces I replaced were missing chunks, the pieces I bought were off ebay and were whole pieces with rash, slight cracks, missing tabs etc....pieces I could work with, when mine were trash. Bike is stripped and panels being fiberglass repaired, filled, and prepped. Tank is at the local audio shop I work at getting a chemical bath (slight internal rust). Paint scheme will be Dupli-color "grabber green" for frame, rear sets, little parts here and there. Body will be gloss black, smoked turn signals front and rear, smoked tail light, and polished wheels. Picked it up Kinda stripped New rear tail compared to old (notice 3 piece, to one whole lol) Smoked front signals Painted sprocket cover Rear sets (driver and passenger) along with the fairing divider Frame Pieces curing (top left corning, fairing divider really shows the shine, pics do NO justice) All mechanical parts are scheduled to arrive Friday, since those pics all fiberglass repair has been finished, body panels just need filler and prep. Exhaust has been pulled (mid-pipe back) to allow for work room and it got polished, rear wheel has been pulled for new sprocket along with being polished. I'll have some more pics up tomorrow afternoon with body panels and polished pieces.

lowblueranger
Looking good man. I just sold my 91' ZX6d that I had been working on, there nice bikes with a comfortable seat for long rides, much more comfortable than my ZX12r. Have you been to the ZX6E forum? They have alot of info on those bikes and you can pickup parts for cheap too. I just picked up a 06' GSXR 600 that has been crashed and needs all new body work but I've got alot pieces already for it- you got to love ebay for finding motorcycle parts. Thanks for sharing your rebuild looks like fun! Thanks for sharing your rebuild looks like fun! Ya I'm a member on ZX6e.net, lots of friendly helping people there. Full build log from start to finish is over there also. I've got some parts from members, and ebay is great for these bikes too. Nice. That black looks so wet. Pics don't do it justice. I let it cure overnight, went out the next morning to check it and it looked the same as when I just layed the first wet coat. Needs a day at the carwash now, nasty dirt and rain splatter =[
Mrbubbles00482
Time for repaint Picked up an 02 GSXR 600 full subframe setup for cheap, time to swap, dropping like 35 or 40 pounds and it looks better. Picked up a front fork stand also from T-rex racing. Cheap but it works. List GSXR subframe (light as fuck, weighs less then the plastics..) Tail plastic Solo cowl Seat Integrated LED tail light OEM undertail New stuff coming- Airblade double bubble smoked windscreen Spike bolt kit for windscreen and mid fairings. SS front brake lines in lime green Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires 6k HID kit PAINT- Same general idea, but different slightly. Frame, wheels, footsets etc.. Dupont hot hues Iguana Run green (duplicolor is NOT gas resistant like it says) Dupont/Nason 2k 4-1 clear coat (same as before, wet as hell looking) Body- Dupont/Nason GM 99 black base coat Hot hues Iguana run green for emblems Dupont/Nason 2k 4-1 clear (again same as before) Hot hues Shimmer green pearl! (added in clear coat, most likely a rate of 1.5 grams per pint) On to pics. Sanding begins tomorrow, starting with tail lights, and turns for re-smoking. Then body panels. Fender chop (going for zx6r look, without buying a zx6r fender lol) Ass end bar ready for new subframe Took her top off for paint Base JUST after clear was sprayed, still looks this wet Got this when I got home from work

The green/black combo looks good. Will be interesting to see it come together! Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking! You can't rush quality, it doesn't happen overnight. Quality takes time and dedication, but the end results more than pay for it.
