Hey guys....Currently lookin for what to get for a first system budget build.....is this a good setup?

Thats ok for a first system, but i would still look for something with more power, but yet im power hungry and never satisfied lol

Agreed. The system i have is my first system and its ok for about 800 dollars.(system in sig) but if your on a budget then go with those kenwoods.

once again I have to chime in with orion stang it will do for a beginner system but your goin to want it louder as soon as you have it in and someone is goin to bump on you and no self respecting car audio addict is goin to take that lying down so will want to up grade but if you have have beat now that will work

I'm sure a lot of us on here were in a hurry to get our 1st system, and wanted to get a combo deal for it to be fast.

I know I was looking at BestBuy's package deals and now I just laugh at myself

But I agree with everyone else.

i say go for it, I put those subs with a 600watt amp in my friends jimmy, In a ported box tuned to 37hz, did like a 140.somethin on a termlab.

just the other day i heard someone bumpin on campus. I was lookin all around and finally saw him drive by. I was like..dang i did a nice system. hah

I have heard these subs personally in a ported not custom built box. Very loud for only playing one sub out of 2 in a single chambered box. Running off of a crunch 2 ch amp pushing probably like 125 watts to the sub and hes clipping the shit out of it with the gain all the way up and the bass boost all the way up.

I say go for it

btw the sub is lasting just fine. pretty sturdy

Ya...ive got about 2 months till ill be drivin my car but still....how much should i look at savin(sub(s), amp and box(+wiring and whatnot)
