OldsBoomer Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 ok so i've never installed a equalizer before and im a little confused... my head unit is the pioneer 6000ub that has three sets of outputs front, rear, and sub. The two equalizers im looking at only have two inputs. One for the radio and another for an aux input.. I have no idea of how to connect my headunit to the equalizer properly http://www.powerbassusa.com/products/acces..._equalizer.html this is my first choice.. but im worried about the 10 volt output because my AQ 2200 input only goes to 8volts and i really dont want to fry my amp.... http://www.powerbassusa.com/products/acces..._equalizer.html this is my second choice.. i was reading reviews on it and it said that it can only take 3 volt input which worries me due to the fact that my headunit puts out 4 volts and i dont want to burn up the equalizer. any input would be great.. baggedon4s Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 I ran the AEQ-7X0 in my old car. It was a ok eq, the sub volume came in handy. To hook it up, it power, ground, and 1 full range rca output from the h/u. 99 suburban, ranger rover headlights, SS front bumper,roll pan with frenched tag, 2nd row delete,glassed dash..audio to come whenever I figure out what I want.

Also how many pre amos were you giving it?i got the power and ground and remote idea thank 1 set of RCA's out of the full range RCA's on the h/u into the EQ, then 3 sets of RCA's to the trunk (front,rear,sub) It set it up I hooked a set of speakers to the h/u turned all the h/u eq's wide open, turned up the volume till it distorted, and back it down 2 (say the radio goes to vol 50, at vol 42 it distorts, Id back it down to 40) un hooked the speakers from the h/u and never touched the volume/eq on the h/u again. Then tuned the eq and amps to my liking.
