lgnmgr
Ok so i've popped 5 fuses now!!! all my connections were made from amp to battery and ground i am running 0 gauge and the first fuse i popped was a 250 amp and the other 4 were 200 amp... all i did was disconnect the battery positive then put fuse in then tried reconnecting the positive and it blew then i tried disconnecting the battery negative and keeping the positive hooked up and when i put the negative on it popped... i know im probably doing something wrong but i cant think of any other logical way to do it. please help, thanks.... I've checked for grounding the power wire and there are no obvious spots, i've checked all connections and they all seem good. im startin to think the amp has a short or something.... PLEASE HELP. thanks
Crump
What amp you got? does it pull more than 250? check your firewall for a snag in the wire. Guest
first thing i would check in that situation is frayed power wire. even a single strand can cause that fuse to pop
HaMSaMMiCH
Definitely sounds like you have a short somewhere. You need to check the entire run of power wire for breaks, as well as all of your connections. CAUTION! POOR INSTALLATION MAY SHORT BOTH YOUR SYSTEM AND WALLET

lgnmgr
ya i checked the entire power wire and couldn't find any snags or anything... thats why i was thinking it mite be a short in the amp itself?
