bkolfo4 Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 Build it like any other ported box, but make the ports 1" longer than the port woudl be without the flare. . . Simple box design: You know what subs you are using, so you knwo the driver displacement You should know the NET volume you want. You knwo what size and how many ports you want to use. You should know the tuning you want. Calculate the port length based on NET volume, # and size of ports, and tuning. Calculate the port displacement. Gross volume = driver displacement + NET volume + port displacement. Design the box to be the gross volume, considering driver and port placement, including the port length and at least the distance equal to the port diameter behind the port for it to breath in the box. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.

Beanz Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 well then build it like that how the pic is just only to your dimensions that you need That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.
