Crown Amplification Studio Reference - I

It is worth buying the inverter to bring your vehicle up to the required AC Voltage. 1K per side @ 4 ohm, damping factor of >20,000 @ 10Hz-200Hz, +5 to -15 degree phase shift throughout the amplfier, .1dB +/- frequency response from 20-20 and a THD of less than .1% at full power........

I have never heard anything better, and I doubt that my climatised ears ever will. Tube amplifiers, especially those with germanium or 5Y3 Tube rectifiers just don't have the slew rate and transient response that I desire. The Studio Reference-I has everything in spades.

Cheers,

Mick

Just buy JBL Crown series amps... they just mean you go DC-DC-Crown output stage instead of having to go DC-AC-DC-Crown output stage :P

Might have the same badge, but those things are a long way away from the Heavy Iron (aka Real) Crowns. We used to call them Harvey's. If you don't go Harvey's in the amp rack, you're going to fall arse over tit and die.

Those JBL Crowns are just DC Macrotechs I hear.....

no one has mentioned zuki audio... something like 2605 dollars for a 10 watt amp... some gay shit like that

I did, but my post got deleted.

I'm going to be running an Eleets 4ch that puts out 5 watts per, only costs $400, not too bad for a 20 watt ampPosted Image
