MickyMcD
Crown Amplification Studio Reference - I It is worth buying the inverter to bring your vehicle up to the required AC Voltage. 1K per side @ 4 ohm, damping factor of >20,000 @ 10Hz-200Hz, +5 to -15 degree phase shift throughout the amplfier, .1dB +/- frequency response from 20-20 and a THD of less than .1% at full power........ I have never heard anything better, and I doubt that my climatised ears ever will. Tube amplifiers, especially those with germanium or 5Y3 Tube rectifiers just don't have the slew rate and transient response that I desire. The Studio Reference-I has everything in spades. We used to call them Harvey's. If you don't go Harvey's in the amp rack, you're going to fall arse over tit and die. Those JBL Crowns are just DC Macrotechs I hear.....
