toylocost Posted October 14, 2009 Report Share Posted October 14, 2009 Ok so this is my first REAL box. I've done others but this one is mine. Its for 2 cheap ass MA15D4's. They are DVC 15s 400wats each. I'm running them at 2ohms on my Rockford P5002 at 250rms a piece. I was having some trouble with port sizes which lead me to join here. A user named tristan560 helped me finalize my design. Went to Lowes and bought some wood (overestimated lol) got 3 sheets of 3/4 MDF and used half of it. Basically put together, still have to take it apart and glue it... Test fit... Vertical 2x4... Starting final assembly... I put on a second sheet of MDF to flush the subs. I saw it on here and had to do it. Speaker terminals... Read that some one on here said they mix glue with sawdust from the MDF to fill over the heads of the screws. I tried it, it worked alright but next time I will leave a glob on top and sand them down afterwords because the glue shrunk as it dried... All soldered... I'm very happy with it, it is SO much louder than my old box! (sealed 3 cubes) Definitely the loudest car I've ever sat in and only 500watts. 'bout a 2 or 3 inch lift (more like 2 with the new box in the back lol). And some Hankook 33x12.5s. Bed lined fenders. CB/PA. Uhhhhh, thats about it.
