Basically, you guys are telling me that I need to stick to what I have. Cool. I have enjoyed owning the laptop so far, but it is understood that I need to be looking to replace and not upgrade. For some reason, I went into this thinking that laptops are modular, like desktops, where you can mix and match things and still expect them to work. Since my screen cracked, I have had the occasion to hear some horror stories about people tinkering with laptops.
