Benji0687
So...I just installed my subs in my new car, and went for a ride around the block (i cant test at home anymore...too many incidents) so I'm riding and I hear this SMACK SMACK SMACK noise comming from the subs. I have two Pioneer Premier TS-W3000SPL 12s in a ported box with a modded MTX 1501D pushing them. I popped the trunk to see the dustcap hanging from one of the subs. It looks like a pretty clean separation, and the speaker still works just fine. So my question is...whats the best adhesive to use to reglue the cone? I can get some pics if needed, i'm at work right now though. Thanks alot guys!! 1989 Chevy Caprice Classic350ci V8 High Performance JVC Arsenal HU JL XR series components Infinity Reference 6x9s Pioneer Premier 4-Channel Clarion 2-Channel Rockford Fosgate Series 1 2-Channel Fusion 2000.1D MTX Crossover RF, Knu, Kicker, and Monster wiring NVX VCW 12in. Benji0687
ca glue? hmm...sounds like I need to talk to GP2k2... the dustcap seems to be cardboard, but the cone is alot more solid. is it dangerous to be running the sub w/o a dustcap? 1989 Chevy Caprice Classic350ci V8 High Performance JVC Arsenal HU JL XR series components Infinity Reference 6x9s Pioneer Premier 4-Channel Clarion 2-Channel Rockford Fosgate Series 1 2-Channel Fusion 2000.1D MTX Crossover RF, Knu, Kicker, and Monster wiring NVX VCW 12in. ChevyBoy
yes because you can get dust and what not down in the moving parts of the sub. with your vc and all the important stuff. just run up to the parts store and pick some rtv glue up.
