Steve01S Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 In something like 15 years of hooking up my own car audio i have never run a cooling fan before. So how do you hook them up they are those lil 4 inch computer fans that run off 12 volts?
Noob_On_Droid Posted October 25, 2009 Report Posted October 25, 2009 Yup! When I had my 2ch. Amp in my glove box it was a little side mounted computer fan tapped off the remote and ground terminals on the amp. Never had a problem
Steve01S Posted October 25, 2009 Author Report Posted October 25, 2009 Thank you that is what i was thinking to but someone i worked with said that it would draw to much current from the remote wire. But i was thinking since it was run in parallel it wouldn t matter.

(if that confuses you then you get the point) lol
Steve01S Posted October 25, 2009 Author Report Posted October 25, 2009 i meant for the voltage it shouldn t matter. but you correct for current it would draw more but would 4 of those little fans draw that much current to effect the remote wire? I don t think those things draw that much current to bother the remote wire . you draw more current when running in parallel not less
