Port up really shouldn't matter whether it's closer to the hatch or not.

I'll see what I can do when I get this sub fixed, but I really don't think it will make the slightest difference with this box. With the other box, sure, but not this one.

dude you have some serious issues with port placement. turn the damn box around and you will have better results.

I understand with the previous box, but I'm still waiting for you to justify what you're saying about this box. If you can give me a logical reason why it makes any difference with THIS box, that would be a lot more beneficial than what you just said.

Edit: Sorry if I came off the wrong way. It's just not very helpful at all for people to tell me something will be better, but not tell me why it's better. And yes, it matters to me. I want to know what's going on.

Sure, I can agree with that, but simply turning the box around shouldn't make any difference because the ports will still be facing up and still have just as much cabin space as they had before.

I have no problem admitting I'm wrong..I just need someone to tell me how I am wrong if I am.

well best way i could put it is if the ports at the rear it going to push all the sound waves out and to the front of the car

if its in the middle you'll get waves going to the front and rear which will decrease output

Makes sense. I'll have to figure out where to put my amps if I turn the box around. I suppose I could drill new holes on the port side of the box and keep the amps in the same place as they are now. I'll just have to check it out and see what I can make happen.

I should be sending in my sub sometime next week to get it reconed.

i thikn youl get a huge gain by turning the box around..

i had an 18 in my trunk ( no rear seat) sub up port forward wasnt very loud turned it around and was a good 2x as loud or more....yes its a trunk but still teh same idea

nice blazer dude i like the way it sets, but turn the box around so you can get some vehicle response=LOUDER, but very nice set up dude

Your port was forward, though. Mine is up. You can't compare the two.

At the moment, it doesn't matter. When I get my sub fixed and ready to go back in the box, I'll try to turn it around.

Edit: @basslh: Thanks. It's lowered 5" in the back and 3.5" in the front. I love the way it looks. The system dropped it a little more in the back.
