go with the 2000. if they're dual 2 you can run them at 2 ohms. the MRP's are only 2 ohm stable, so you'll be set...as far as whoever said they're overrated you need to do a little research. they do rated wattage.

But he is planning on running 4 of the Subs, So the MRP2000 would not be a good choice as he needs an amp that does 2K at 1 ohms.

What Ohms are your subs, I.E. Dual 2 ohms, Dual 4 ohms.

If they are Dual 2 ohms coils, that means when you get 4 you will need an amp that does the power your looking for at 1 or 4 ohms. If they are Dual 4 ohm coils you will want an amp that does its power at 2 ohms.

If they are Dual 2 ohm subs I would recommend an AQ2200D, they are $349 and will do the power you need all day.

They are dual voice coil i think (that means they have 2 positive 2 negative per sub right) and they are 2 ohm..why wont the mrp 2000 work if I wire just like I wired these put a jumper in the middle and do pos to pos neg to neg

It will work if you only use 2 subs, but if you use 4 subs then it will not be ideal.

Look at the first Diagram in the link, if you have 4 dual 2 ohm subs they can only wire to 1ohm final load or 4 ohm final load. The MRP2000 is not 1 ohm stable, and would not do the power you are looking for at 4 ohms. So that is why I recommended a 1 ohm stable amp.

Whats wrong with my way..I dont plan on all of these being in the same box so it will be really hard to wire them like that..I have no Idea what i'm doing lol thats y I wired the subs I have now are wired the way they are..y dont people do it the regular way..I haven't done much research as you can probably tell lol

i had the mrp 1000 it was ok .... until i folded up the backseat. if i folded up my backseat and played full blst for a while the amp would get super hot and go into protection mode .... which was retarded because the only difference was the seat being folded up or down. The amp was good ... but i wish i woulda got something better

I love mine..It has never overheated and its always closed in my trunk because i cant put my seat down..but I havent tried it in the summer yet..I just got it in the fall

You cant get the power you need out of the MRP2000 because with your subs the final load is gonna be 1 ohm with all 4 subs hooked up, and the Alpine amp is not stable down to 1 ohm.

So first you will have to get a 1 ohm stable amp, if you want to only have one amp, then what you are gonna do is wire each sub like in Option 2 in this link http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_c...ns.asp~Q~1~I~22

Then after you will take all the positive leads coming off the subs and put them in the positive speaker terminal on the amp, and do the same with all the negative leads coming off the subs, this will parallel your speakers and bring your final impendence down to a 1ohm load.

Okay I made this up real quick in Paint, on each sub you will have 1 positive and 1 negative connected together(the blue wire) the second positve and negative go to the respective terminals on the amp. Do this for each sub and you will be at a 1 ohms load.

umm..thats how I have it now I have a jumper that came with the subs as the blue line and thats exactly how I have it now
