Chrisn077
I have a AP1500D wired at 1 ohms which does 1500 RMS and its hooked up to a DC level 4 which RMS is 1000. Can I just use the bast boost knob as the gain control so if i want to give it the full power in a demo all i have to do is turn the bass knob up? If so how would i set the gain with the knob? 18" DC Level

Then you can turn it down with the remote, and turning the knob all the way up will only turn it up as far as the gain is set on the amp. Its early, so hopefully I typed that right. 97 Maxima SE Bunch of shit going in, check out the build Build Log
Chrisn077
that was the oposite of what i was wanting. im wanting to keep the gain control on the amp all the way and use the bass boost knob to control the gain. so i can keep it at the right gain for the sub but when i want to turn it up for a demo put it full blast. 18" DC Level
basshead4life
then turn the knob all the way up and set the amp for 1500. once thats done leave the the amp alone but turn the knob down and find out were it puts out 1000 leave the knob there for daily and crank it up for demos. Team S.M.D. Maritime Car Audio- (2) 18" SSA ZCON D1 - American Bass 500.1 - 60 ft of 3/0 -480 Ah of battery - (2) stock alternators (70 +90) - Kenwood Excelon x-794, 4v preouts car audio is just a LOT more complicated than "this amp does this power" or "this sub will be this loud". its like 2 + 2 = banana. (if that confuses you then you get the point) lol
