SQMonte
Most people here are going to tell you to build one yourself, as you see, but all prefabs are not trash. I'm currently running a prefab in my car and it bangs! Not only does it sound good, but it was built to the exact specs of my subs, and it looks good too! So basically what i'm saying is as long as you buy a decent brand box that's built to the specs of your subs, you'll be alright. Boon
Honestly, that one on Ebay looks pretty legit. And for $149 shipped it's not a terrible price at all. EDIT: Come on, double front baffle even. I bet that box is better built that a lot of stuff people on here are turning out! Edited November 8, 2009 by Boon Quote 10.x volts fo' life! alvitae
Where do you live? There may be a box builder within driving distance. I'm batting about a .333 with pre-fabs. I had one that was tuned to 40 and it really got loud, Sounded decent if just a tad "peaky" and never fell apart or anything. The other two not so hot. One was a single 15 and my Diamond audio tdx blew it apart with 2000 watts. The other a bandpass, Got loud but sounded like azz doing it and started to leak after a bit. Marlo Stanfield
How much port area is in the prefab one that you posted?? Btw $150 shipped for a prefab is pretty high but that one does look good for a prefab. Depending on where you live there is prolli a builder in your area that can do a pretty basic ported enclosure like the one posted for cheaper than that and of a higher quality. Plus you don't just have to stick with whatever specs the prefab has if you find a local to do it. I understand that you don't have any tools yourself but you really don't know a single person with a jigsaw and a power drill?? Those are pretty much as basic of power tools that exist, hell you can get them on ebay for like $15 each brand new. They won't be the best quality but I still have a 24v power drill set I got for $25 over 3 years ago on ebay. The thing is a tank, I've used it on a weekly basis and beaten the hell out of it basically for the past 3 years. I mean it seems pretty aparent that you're just gonna go with the prefab one regardless of what is said here. Quote 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... New setup, old ride...
