ok so my sis was complaning that her subs kept turning off, so i took a look and in one of the subs (2 12''s) u can hear what sounds like the voicecoil is loose or something, but still works up until i turned it up, then the amp goes into protection. I have heard this noice before on a DVC sub when only one of them is connected but these are SVC. u guys have any clue at what it could be?

Sub Is Blown. B)

x2.

Whats probably occurring is that the glue holding the VC together is loosening up & probably a couple strands have come unattached. Now when the sub moves just enough, they rub on the basket underneath the spider & cause a short in the one woofer. This causes an overall resistance drop in the load on the amp, therefore sending it into protect mode. New subs are needed.
