big 3 help

ok i ordered my wiring and going to finally do my big 3 upgrade this will be my first time i just want to get a couple questions answered..... Do i need to fuse the wire from the alt to the battery if so my alts a 105 amp alt so what size fuse should i use, i heard you should then i heard you dont need to fuse the wire between the amp and battery. Also should i leave stock wire on or take it off btw im useing 1/0 gauge wire
