Updating An Old Computer

Recommended Posts

I am updating an old computer for a friend, and it is an old hp... I have the new mobo and everything fits but the power plug because it was made specifically for that hp mobo that was in there, I was wondering how you get this plug to hook up to the new mobo that I have. Do I have to take the plug apart? This is the last piece of the puzzle... Quick answers would be greatly apprciated! ;)

The problem is that the switch to turn on the computer that is located on the front right under that floppy drive is not compatible with the motherboard... I can get the computer to turn on, but I dont think that it is hooked up correctly at the motherboard, and the ends of the wire that go to that front switch. There is like a pre assembled plug that all the wires run into, so you can run them individually to the spots that they need to go. Has anyone on here updated an old computer, and got the swtich to work on the new motherboard?
