Just a side note the holes in the plans are 10" when in reality they need to be 9.3" according to RE. Know what you mean about staying sane. Doing stuff like this keeps me sane. I made it 3/4 inch wood i figures that 4 10's would be alright you do have a couple inches to play with in height and depth.
